As children get older, they are smarter and more intuitive. As parents we field even more challenging, logistical questions about Santa, the North Pole, Elves and Reindeers. Is it me or am I the only one who never seems to feel like I have a good answer or know what the right one is? I’ve learned to rely on all sorts of books and videos, to not only make sure Gavin behaves, but to find some answers to make sure his unique questions are answered in order to preserve his faith a little longer.
While Gavin’s smile here does not necessarily show it, he’s 8 and he’s skeptical. Its already been a topic of discussion in the 2nd grade lunch room. How quickly we are reminded about how magical it truly is to believe in Santa, especially when they reach an age when as a parent you realize that today could be the last day they truly believe. It really makes me wish I had downloaded all the personalized Portable North Pole videos we created when he was younger.
What is Portable North Pole?
Portable North Pole is a website and app, where anyone can create a personalized phone call and video message from Santa and the team at the North Pole. Some videos and features are free and others are a minimal cost of $5. For $13.99 per season, there is access to premium videos, unlimited calls, downloadable video and bedtime stories as part of the Magic Pass subscription. Keep reading and check out some great discount codes!
Gavin has always liked to flirt with the naughty list, and in past years these personalized videos from Santa got him back on track every single time. Sadly I never downloaded them and in instances like this, I would pay anything to have those memories back.

We always read the book titled "The Sparkle Box" and we fill the box up every year and read the notes from our Sparkle box on Christmas morning.
I love this! I'll have to look up that book!
We start reading all the Christmas books we collected during the year.(we save them all year for this)
We have an elf on the shelf named Bob that has become my grandchildren's favorite tradition.
We make homemade ornaments and decorate the tree while having egg nog.
Our favorite tradition is putting up the tree as a family. Everyone helps with the ornaments.
we put up a big D56 Christmas village that's so beautiful when all lit up
actually we didn't have a tradition for counting down to Christmas
When my kids were little we always purchased toys for them to donate to a local charity.
My family share the family traditions of the Hank Williams' family. Over and over.
My daughter and I like to craft ornaments for the Christmas tree and countdown on our advent calendar.
