STEM toys are the rage in the toy industry. These toys aim to provide children with exposure to activities that promote interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Also within this same category, many companies, like GoldieBlox were designed especially to help girls seek out these types of careers, given that only 13% of women enter the engineering field.
GoldieBlox are construction toys that encourage kids to solve a problem using connectors, pegs and spools. my granddaughter likes everything from dolls to dump trucks
I don’t have a girl but my son likes to play with Legos and he would love this! We try to offer him all types of toys – even toys typically played with by girls.
My daughter is sitting beside me. Her answer: books, digital games, board games like “Operation”, My Little Pony, Equestria Girls,digging toys, playdoh, blocks, crafts and stuffed animals
