For those of you with preschool aged children, it’s possible that Doc McStuffins is a household name. So, here’s your chance to potentially meet Doc McStuffins and the Doc Mobile! The Doc Mobile is making it’s way around select cities in the United States, which is free to the public. The Doc Mobile is a custom, 27 foot Airstream trailer that allows kids to perform their own check-up on their stuffed animals, while also receiving age-appropriate health and wellness tips on nutrition and fitness.
Cardboard cut-outs will be available for children to take their pictures at each location. The actual Doc McStuffins character is currently only scheduled to be in New York, D.C., San Antonio and Los Angeles.
The Doc Mobile is starting in Boston, August 18th before heading to Times Square in NY, Chicago, San Antonio, Dallas Fort Worth, New Orleans, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Los Angeles, and Phoenix. The tour is scheduled to end on Saturday, August 28, 2013.
For those of you near us in the Boston area, paid admission to the Franklin Park Zoo is required to partake in this activity on August 18th. Unfortunately, Doc herself won’t be at this event.
A full schedule with dates, locations, times and details of the Doc Mobile are posted here on Disney Junior.
In other Doc McStuffins news:
– Some fun new toys will be released in the Fall of 2013 from Just Play that include the pictured Doc McStuffins Get Better Check-Up Center which will retail for $79.99 and be available in Fall 2013.
-The second season of Doc McStuffins is scheduled to start on the Disney Channel and Disney Junior channel on Friday, September 6th, so set your DVR’s!
I did not receive any compensation for this post, any opinions are my own

I am so glad that Disney Junior has wholesome and wonderful programming for children, my kids love Doc McStuffins, thanks for sharing!
A great thing YOU are doing letting people know where Doc will show up! Thank you. For those of you who don't live near one of those cities, I recommend that you NOT go to the event in your area.
She was definitely NOT in Boston yesterday which pretty much made the event a bust. LONG lines, fee for admission to the zoo, no Doc. Disney blew this one. My family arrived 10 minutes after the event started and waited for 2+ hours to engage in activities my daughter (3 1/2) does pretty much every day at home. She wanted to know why doc wasn’t there and was told she was in her back yard taking care of her dolls and pets. Um, thanks. We didn’t pay to get in because we are members of the zoo, but I saw a post from a p-o’d dad who had paid $56 to get in. Disney is WAY too circumspect about the “select cities”. One would have thought that the only city in which people have to pay to see Doc would have been selected… We love Doc, but got totally “disneyed” by this event…
Thanks for your comment Dan. I originally posted about the event and thankfully the Disney PR rep I worked with was kind enough to help me differentiate when/where she'd be, so I amended my post to include more details. All of that information was not originally outlined in the press release, so I'm assuming most people built their posts around and that is completely unfortunate. Out of curiosity how did you find about the event? I knew it was well attended given the line, many people stated that, I'm sorry it didn't meet your families expectations. I'll pass the word on to my contact.
It would be great if the Doc McStuffin Mobile would be able to come to Bethlehem, PA......If the mobile can be scheduled for Bethlehem, PA please let me know I have 2 granddaughters 3 and 5 years who would be blown away if we could take them to meet Doc McStuffin. Can't afford to go to Disney but this would be a great way for them to meet her.
Thank you
