A few weeks ago I was invited by the Red Sox organization to participate in a tour of Fenway Park. After the tour, I met with the Red Sox management, provided feedback on the family experience at Fenway, and attended a Red Sox game that evening. During the tour was when I first found out about Futures at Fenway.
This year marks the 8th annual Futures at Fenway event. On Saturday July 27th, 2013, at Fenway Park in Boston, MA, the Portland Sea Dogs, an AA affiliate of the Red Sox will play the Harrisburg Senators. Tickets will range from $5-$30.
In conjunction with the game, there are a lot of family friendly activities scheduled that will include:
– A family festival and wellness expo in the Big Concourse
– Dog lovers can bring their dog to Fenway, but they will need to arrange for a canine ticket prior to entering the park and sign a waiver
– Following the game, families can partake in an autograph session with the Portland Sea Dogs
– A concert by kid favorites Kidz Bop is also scheduled
My family and I are really looking forward to attending this event. I know how costly it can be to purchase tickets to the Red Sox, so in my opinion Futures at Fenway is a great, cost-effective way to experience the ball park with some fun, family focused activities.
I was provided with free tickets to attend this event with my family. Any opinions are my own.
