Ultimate Block Party in NYC Sunday Oct. 3rd sponsored in part by LEGO!
There are no limits to LEGO creativity!

I recently heard about a great FREE event, the Ultimate Block Party, sponsored in part by LEGO that will take place Sunday October 3rd, in Central Park at the Naumberg Bandshell in New York City!  The event will take place from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m and through multiple sponsors, a variety of stations, games and activities will encourage children and their families to play and experience the fun and importance of playful learning together! At the LEGO Imagination Construction Zone, individuals or teams will choose from 250,000 loose green LEGO bricks to construct a model for a creative landscape designed and built by Ultimate Block Party attendees.

According to the press release from this event, “the Ultimate Block Party will transform the Bandshell area of New York City’s Central Park into the world’s most innovative playground, demonstrating the power of fun and games for learning and helping to reinforce that how we play as children helps form who we become as adults.”

LEGO will give a LEGO CREATOR: Ferocious Creatures Set (valued at $29.99) to a reader to encourage the use of LEGO Construction Zones at home as a way to expand a child’s play skills and creativity!

My daughter made best friends with her Cabbage
Patch dolls. They even have their own personalities.

Thank you for the giveaway. My son enjoys building things and being creative in his room. He just turned 13 but, this hasn’t stopped him from using his imagination and playing with legos. He really enjoys building boats and forts.

My son is a HUGE Lego fan. He builds entire cities from them. He will even find a picture of a ship, plane, or truck he likes then recreate it from his Lego, I’m constantly amazed with what he creates!

My very little one attempts to give her pacifier to her cabbage patch doll.

I have a lot of children. However, my younger three often play in such a manner. My two youngest sons like to build things with Legos daily, especially anything to do with Star Wars. Even if it is not a kit for building the item, they “invent” a new spaceship or droid. One of my sons pretends his medical droid fixes all my imaginary wounds. 🙂

    My children would LOVE this.

Both of my boys absolutely love their legos and we get them get them kits, I love how they build the kit, but then their imaginations go wild and they mix the different kits to make all kinds of creative toys to play with (OK, usually to battle one another with).

Both of my kids are really creative. We live out in the country 30 miles from any of their friends so they have to come up with some ways to intertain themselves without anyone else. My son is always making something out of legos-today he made a boat.

My step father only gets him on the weekends and every weekand they get a lego to build it is something they do together and they look forward to doing. I would love to get this for him and my stepfather as a weekend son and father activity.
