Drool Baby Expo Boston
For the past few years I’ve attended the Drool Baby Expo presented by Magic Beans in Boston, MA. This year, on Wednesday May 7th, it’s being held at the Westin Waterfront Hotel in the Seaport Area from 3-9.
Amazing, high-end companies gather under one roof for new and prospective parents so they can meet in person and have a hands-on test drive of their new products. In the process participants will have chances to win prizes, buy items at discounted prices, and receive pampering through hand massages, mini-manicures, yummy food and swanky gift bags. The value in the gift bags alone is worth the trip. In past years I’ve received some unbelievable products.
I was part of the first Drool Baby Expo, when I gave a little presentation on how to promote play with infants, but it was there that I fell in love with our Bumbleride Indie stroller. Last year I made a list of my must-have baby items for new parents that I uncovered at Drool, which featured items from Mamas and Papas, Bumbleride, Beaba, and Magnificent Baby Clothing.
Other companies presenting this year include: Bugaboo, 4moms, Jane, Nuna, Stokke, Ergobaby, UPPAbaby, Chicco, and the Honest Company. All of the exhibitors are listed here.
Maybe you or a friend are expecting, definitely go, especially if you’ve been debating on whether you will need that expensive item for your baby, go in and get your hands on it. Fold them, unfold them, speak to the representatives and educate yourself. One thing I’ve learned is that though hand me downs are great, there are certain items totally worthy paying a hefty price tag for. Especially since many of these products are intuitive, high-quality items that are designed to save time or space, as well as to bring to both you or your baby.
You can also learn more about Drool on Facebook and buy tickets here. Can’t make the expo? If you are local to Boston or Connecticut, check out the Magic Beans retail store locations. Not near a retail location, check out their website MBeans.com, because all of their items can also be purchased online. In my personal experience, Magic Beans has friendly and knowledgeable staff on hand to help you make an informed decision on all types of toys and baby gear without any sales pressure.
Disclosure: I will receive a VIP ticket to attend Drool. Any opinions presented are my own.
