Guess what, McDonald’s breakfast hours have changed! While we don’t make a weekly event out of breakfast for dinner, since I became a full-time working parent, I won’t lie, there have been dozens of times when omelets and pancakes are about all I have the energy to cook.
One thing my growing little boy craves is protein, and I don’t honestly ever feel guilty about feeding him eggs. While he still loves a great cheeseburger, we don’t rule out making drive-through visits for egg sandwiches at night, especially if I’m to tired to cook or we’ve been out late and he’s starving.
Since 2007, McDonalds has been receiving requests to serve breakfast past 10:30 a.m. Available items will vary by location, but all day long restaurant patrons can now order Hotcakes, a variety of Egg McMuffin/Biscuit
sandwiches, fruit and maple oatmeal, fruit ‘n yogurt parfait and hashbrowns.
So if you are like me, or your kids want eggs and you want a salad or a burger, McDonald’s new extended breakfast hours may just have something to keep everyone in the car happy, no matter what time of day like me, you zip through the drive-thru.
As I learned at healthy food event which included a behind the counter visit to a McDonald’s location, all egg McMuffins include real, fresh-cracked eggs. The restaurant also has very strict serving guidelines, so there should not be any need to worry that your eggs won’t be served fresh.
Also, should you be near Boston near City Hall Plaza on October 16, 2015 from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. McDonald’s is celebrating their extended breakfast hours with free Egg McMuffins and McCafe coffee, as well as offering fun games and prizes. There’s a chance at an even bigger prize for arriving in your pajamas, or for college students who wear college gear. Follow along with the hashtags #AllDayBreakfast and #McDPJParty.
