Fun Easter Game for Kids
Preschool and Kindergarten aged children are building strength, control and coordination in their fingertips, which they will need in order to hold a pencil and pair of scissors correctly with their thumb, index and middle fingers. Aside from coordination and strength, this age group is learning to match colors and sequence patterns.
A fun way to work on hand skill is to use tools like tweezers and tongs. This is one of my favorite fine motor activities to do. It’s a really fun Easter game for kids as well, but it honestly doesn’t even need to be around Easter for kids to absolutely love it! This game is easy to create, costs about $5-$8 dollars to make with these cute accessories.
You will need-
– A slotted container (egg carton or ice cube tray)
– Handful of mini-porcupine balls, enough to fill your container, preferably 2 of every color (generally found in party stores or party favor aisles or at places like Oriental Trading)
– Bunny Easter Egg dippers or the Paas Grip ‘N Dip (yellow tool) sold with the Easter decorating materials in Target, Walmart, etc.
Younger kids can just practice placing the porcupine balls in the tray, and taking them out. Older kids may enjoy copying a pattern, or designing their own pattern. It sounds simple but I find that it generally interests kids for awhile.
