Celebrate St. Patricks Day With Kinetic Sand
One of the best ways to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with kids is to play with Kinetic Sand.
In full disclosure, I received Kinetic Sand free, to facilitate this post. Kinetic Sand was also extremely generous, providing enough green and gold glitter sand to donate to my son’s entire preschool class for their St. Patrick’s Day Celebration.
If you haven’t used Kinetic Sand yet and you have children, prioritize a trip to the craft store or toy store and buy some. It’s both soft and smooth, yet has the remarkable ability to take and sustain shapes from stamps and molds. It never dries out and is hypoallergenic.
My students at school beg me to use Kinetic Sand, which I’m all for, because not only is it easy to clean up, the movement of the sand and the way it feels when playing with it, brings about an amazing sense of calm and stress-relief to both children and adults.
Kinetic Sand can be purchased in a variety of colors, and now, even with glitter! The glitter is so small and fine, and if the smallest speck stays on your skin, it will flake off very easily. Now, one of my favorite ways to celebrate different holidays is through colored Kinetic Sand. We frequently bring small gifts to Gavin’s school for holidays like Halloween and Valentine’s Day. Packaging up kinetic sand into teeny tiny containers is honestly one of the best gifts you will ever give.
This past week, for St. Patrick’s Day, we’ve had a blast with these small containers of the green and gold glitter Kinetic Sand. I just love these little pots of gold, don’t you?
