Angry Birds Star Wars Toys (Giveaway)
Spend 10 minutes with boys in the 5-10 year-old age range, if they aren’t wearing an Angry Birds t-shirt, within that timeframe it won’t be hard to engage any of them in detailed conversation about their obsession with the Angry Birds apps, toys and the latest addition to the flighty destructive bunch, Angry Birds Star Wars toys.
Hasbro “joined forces” with the Angry Birds phenomenon by launching one of the most amazing co-branding initiatives in their development of Angry Birds Star Wars games. The games feature the famous birds and pigs as Star Wars characters. Children have the ability to step out side the technology world, but in a hands-on way, build structures and knock them down with various launchers, all in an attempt to knock off as many pigs as possible and earn points to win.
These toys and games range in a variety of price points. There are foam flyers ($9.99) that are soft squishy characters that are great for playing catch. Recently, I’ve been playing the Angry Birds Star Wars Millenium Falcon Bounce Game ($19.99) and the Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT Attack Battle game ($39.99).
The concept of the Millenium Falcon Bounce Game has kids bouncing ping pong balls into a Millenium Falcon game board, earning points for knocking cardboard pigs off the game, and gaining additional points if their ball ends up in the center console, or the side cockpit.
The AT-AT Attack Battle Game is not only a game, but doubles as a great play set for kids who like the hands-on pretend play with these characters. This set has 21 blocks where children re-create the AT-AT, then using a lightsaber launcher, fly Hans Solo and Luke Skywalker at the structure to destroy it all while knocking off Darth Vader pig, 2 Snowtrooper pigs and 2 Stormtrooper pigs.
I’m giving away an Angry Birds Star Wars AT-AT Attack Battle game, that retails for $39.99 from Hasbro! Enter the Rafflecopter giveaway below.
Hasbro provided a Foam Flyer, the Millenium Falcon Bounce Game and the AT-AT Attack Battle Game free to facilitate this review. Any additional opinions are my own.
