PJ Masks Superheroes For Preschoolers on Disney Channel

“PJ Masks we are on our way, into the night to save the day!”

Owlette, Gekko and Catboy, also known as the PJ Masks are superheroes for preschoolers that appear in their own animated television show on the Disney Channel and on Disney Junior.

I love hearing about new shows on the Disney Channel, or that also appear on our favorite channel, Disney Junior. Even though Gavin is now in Kindergarten, he’d much prefer a 12 minute episode then a feature length movie, mostly because he is still terrified of movie villains.

Using their brains and working together as a team, 6-year-olds Amaya, Connor and Greg transform into the PJ Masks at night in order to outsmart villains. The show has a lot of the elements that older children like about superhero shows and movies of the past, given freeze frame excitement, cool music and awesome life-saving super powers and vehicles.

The content though is perfect for younger children, as it has been designed in conjunction with many partners that include  eOne, the producers of Peppa Pig.

I’m hopeful that until Gavin is ready, the show will become a nice introduction into villains, bridging the gap into other Disney family movies.

We don’t have cable, but watch our Disney Junior content on the Disney Junior app on Apple TV. Gavin has devoured the first 4 episodes of this show and as I type, he’s already asked to watch the pilot, again, stating Gekko is his favorite.

Head over to Disney Junior for the episodes or check out the PJ Masks theme song.

It will only be a matter of time before we see PJ Masks toys in the toy aisles, so stay tuned!

    • Jennifer we enjoy watching it free through the Disney Junior app on our Apple TV, but that app is also available for iPhone and iPad as well. Probably an Android version as well! My son is obsessed!
